A Comparison of Alternative Versions of Automated Production Lines Based on a Simulation Model

摘要

A procedure for comparing alternative versions of automated production lines (APL) is considered. Versions of the APL are compared with a basic version using a proposed performance criterion. Results of a simulation of the various APLs serve as the initial data for calculating the values of the criterion. The simulation model was run on IBM-compatible personal computers in the Clipper 5.0 database language. An example of a comparison of different APLs is given.
