The Choice of Return Flight Control Strategies for Spacecraft Having Completed Their Service Life

摘要

The problem of bringing spacecraft, which have completed their useful service life, out of orbit and sinking them in a "rational" manner in areas of the World Ocean is discussed. The main specific features, con- ditions, constraints, and options for solving problems of this kind are highlighted, the technique for studying the problem is formulated, a general strategy for performing the task of "rational" sinking is proposed. An example of the solution of the given problem for a hypothetical spacecraft is presented.
