The problem of an inverse process model-based optimal control of a multicomponent distillation column is solved. The algorithm for calculating a static (steady-state) operation mode for a distillation column is proposed as the required model. This algorithm is used to show the possibility of tracing the extremum of the chosen criterion under disturbances. The proposed control is shown to be more efficient than the hybrid system for controlling the quality of fractions with an open-loop variation of the compensator gain.
