Monte Carlo simulations, which are widely used for predicting the transport properties of semiconductors, use a large number of parameters, such as the effective masses, the non-parabolic constants, the deformation potential, the phonon energies, and the elastic constants. Most of these parameters are not very well known or have different reported computed or measured values. In this paper, we employ an uncertainty quantification technique that allows us to determine the effect of the uncertainty of parameter values on the transport properties computed using the Monte Carlo technique and establish the key parameters that strongly affect the results in contrast to the parameters whose wide variation has a small overall impact.
