The reflection of waves in a plasma microwave oscillator is considered. The frequency dependences of the coefficient of reflection of the surface plasma wave from a junction between a plasma waveguide and a coaxial waveguide in the form of a metal cone are obtained using a direct modeling of the time-dependent Maxwell equations in a metal waveguide filled with plasma, which is thin in the transverse direction. The dependence of the reflection processes on the cone angle is established. These results are compared with the corresponding dependences of the reflection coefficients for a vacuum waveguide. The dependences of the transmission coefficients are obtained at different cone angles both for the vacuum and plasma waveguides. The mode composition of the transmitted radiation is analyzed. The conditions of transformation of the plasma (vacuum) wave of the waveguide to a cable wave of the metal coaxial waveguide are considered.
