摘要

The results of investigations of probability characteristics (error probability per symbol and per bit) in the case of optimal symbol-by-symbol decoding of signals formed on the basis of binary block-codes are presented. It is shown that the error probability per bit generally depends on its position in the code word. The new upper boundary for the error probability per bit is obtained for signals corresponding to binary blockcodes; this boundary is more accurate with respect to the known additive upper boundary.
