Limiting Characteristics of a Method of Spatial Resolution

The limiting resolution of the Capon algorithm is investigated in the case of correlated sources under the assumption that the covariance matrix of the received signal is measured exactly. An analytical expression is obtained for the limiting resolution as a function of the correlation coefficient, signal power, and size and location of the array. The results of numerical modeling are presented.
