A technique is developed for determining the magnetic field of axial-symmetric systems of electrodes in a homogeneous conducting medium from a given distribution of the radial and axial components of the electric field of the spreading currents. It is shown that the calculation of the magnetic field from the radial electric field component enables one to replace the towing of the magnetic probes with an enhanced level of hard-to-suppress intrinsic noise by measurements of the electric field.
