Calculation of Characteristics of Slot Antennas of a Georadar

Characteristics of slot antennas used in georadiolocation are investigated by the method of numerical modeling. The antenna gains, up-down decoupling, radiation patterns, input impedance, and transmission coefficient between antennas are determined. Special attentions paid to the influence of the gap between the antenna and ground surface on the antenna characteristics. The influence of the screen and slot shapes is analyzed.
