Optimization of Reactive Filters with Respect to Energy Criterion

The mass and dimensions of a reactive filter are determined by the maximum energy stored in the inductances and capacitances of the filter. Basic relationships that specify this energy criterion are studied. An algorithm and a program of the LC-filter optimization with respect to the minimum of the reactive energy are worked out. Examples of optimization of polynomial filters and filters with splashes of attenuation are presented.
