摘要

This paper presents a 4 GHz low-power ring oscillator with supply and temperature compensation for use in impulse-radio ultra-wideband (IR-UWB) applications. Simulations using TSMC 0.18 mu m CMOS technology show that this configuration is able to achieve a 94.87% reduction in the variation of the center frequency of the uncompensated VCO and 25 ppm/degrees C temperature stability. Monte Carlo simulations have also been performed, and demonstrate a 3 sigma deviation of about 7.26%. The power for the proposed circuit is only 4.5 mW at 27 degrees C.
