Phillip Good is a prolific author who has already published several books devoted to clinical trials (Good, 2002), common errors in statistics (Good, 2003) and resampling methods (Good, 2005a, 2005b, 2005c). In this book the author explores the use of computational methods for hypothesis testing, and he describes the great advantages that make these methods the most powerful tools among statistical procedures. The methods are limited to independent samples but the success of the author's challenge is clear: the text has reached its third edition, extending the contents of the previous ones printed in 2000 and 1994.
