Propagation of pressure waves in bubble‐filled liquids

A number of simple problems soluble in closed form are considered in which pressure waves propagate in a bubble‐filled liquid. It is assumed that the bubbles collapse under negligible pressure, following which the compacted liquid behaves perfectly elastically. The late stages of the motion in the problems considered approach a particular self‐similar motion of a certain kind of locking medium.
