摘要

In this paper it is shown that existing patents and patent applications may provide problems, which can be studied by mathematical modelling, analysis and simulation. In particular some inventions are presented which claim to be adequate devices to prevent respectively to suppress galloping of overhead transmission lines. As may be known this is a phenomenon where ice frozen around a transmission line, acts as an air foil resulting in large amplitude vibrations of the transmission lines.
