"It is a distinct honor to welcome everyone of you to the beautiful Legends Resort and the 97 the Annual meeting of the American Leather Chemists Association. This is a very beautiful area and I trust that our program over the next few days, which mixes excellent technical pre- sentations with social interaction and physical relaxation, is both stimulating for the intellect and will ease the accumu- lated stress of our normal workaday lives.
