In conclusion, we have shown that highly functionalized molecules can be stable and activated in superacidic media. Under these conditions, we have highlighted a new and unexpected reaction occurring at an unactivated site according to classical chemistry, providing a new example of gem- difluorination of an allylic methylene involving chloro inter- mediates.
