Electron Transfer across a Peptide-Peptide Interface within a Designed Metalloprotein

The results described above demonstrate that α-helical coiled- coils can be derivatized to construct a useful model system for studying the mechanisms of biological electron-transfer reac- tions. To our knowledge, this work provides the first example of an electron-transfer reaction that occurs across the nonco- valent peptide-peptide interface of a model protein.
