In summary, gas/solid reactivity (1) can be facile for a range of metal oxidation states (here 0, Ⅱ, and Ⅳ), (2) is promoted by unsaturation, and (3) embraces adduct formation, oxidative addition, stimulated reductive elimination, and insertion reaction types.
