Chemistry of Iron Thiolate Complexes with CN~- and CO. Models for the [Fe(CO)(CN_2) Structural Unit in Ni-Fe Hydrogenase Enzymes

The discovery of the [Fe(CO)(CN_2) structural unit hydrogenase enzymes has raised many possibilities as to its function in the activation and/or evolution of H_2. Attempts to model the [Fe(CO)(CN_2) hydrogenase center in more detail are underway in our laboratories.
