摘要

Pyrolysis products of propylenimine have been investigated by gas electron diffraction aided by mass spectrometry. Propylenimine vapor was heated in a quartz tube and effused into the diffraction chamber through a nozzle kept at room temperature. When the temperature of the quartz tube was 470 deg C, propylenimine completely transformed into syn- and anti-CH_3-NH=CH_2 (N-methylvinylamine) and trans-CH_3-N=CH-CH_3 (N- methylethylidenimine), all of which are short-lived species.
