Reactions of Propargyl Metallic Species Generated by the Addition of Alkynyllithiums to Fischer-Type Carbene Complexes

In conclusion, a new type of propargyl metallic intermediate is generated by the addition reaction of alkynyllithiums with Fischer-type carbene complexes. This intermediate reacts regioselectively and in good yields with aldehydes, imines, and CO_2 to bive respectively furans, pyrroles, and butenolides containing various substituents.
