摘要

The main conclusions from this study are as follows: 1) Upgraded weather data files for dry bulb temperature, relative humidity, absolute humidity, solar radiation for two locations Hanoi and HCMC in Vietnam. 2) Proposed the architectural strategies for energy efficiency in Vietnamese residential buildings. The main classifications of architectural strategies are: minimizing solar gain; promoting natural ventilation and dehumidification. 3) Evaluated the effectiveness of monthly energy consumption of the passive architectural strategies (insulation, double walls, shading devices, high performance windows, and the combining strategies). Simulated results showed that the most effective energy efficiency strategies in Vietnamese climate are double walls and high performance windows.
