The US Air Force (USAF) Space Command preparing to launch a third Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) satellite aboard an ATLAS V rocket from Space Launch Complex 41 at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station on 18 September, as IDR went to press. Prime contractor Lockheed Martin confirmed that AEHF-3 was shipped from the company's integration facility in Sunnyvale, California, to the launch site at Cape Canaveral in Florida on 10 July, and that the encapsulated satellite was rolled out to the Vehicle Integration Facility (VIF) on 5 September.
