While they may once have been considered as somewhat expendable, unmanned aircraft systems (UASs) are increasingly mission-critical assets and have become established in the force structures of many militaries with roadmaps to expand inventories in place, as such, manufacturers and operators are now paying greater attention to introducing varying levels of survivability to their platforms.
