HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE ITE 2014 TECHNICAL CONFERENCE AND EXHIBIT

From energized technical sessions and captivating guest speakers to the participation of emerging ITE leaders and technology innovators, the ITE 2014Technical Conference and Exhibit in Miami, FL, USA provided attendees with opportunities to learn, share, and prepare forthefuture of transportation. The conference explored the daily demands and challenges of safely and efficiently maintaining and operating our transportation systems, while sessions led by Google and the Strategic Highway Research Program (SHRP2) described the emerging technology solutions on the horizon. ITE International President W. Hibbett Neel Jr., P.E. spoke about how ITE is focusing on the practical application of the tools, technologies, trends, and approaches that are transforming the transportation landscape. Through engineering judgment and technical know-how, ITE members are establishing vibrant, multi-modal communities where people can safely live, work, and play.
