Strengthening Global Ties: ITE Visits Australia and New Zealand Section

ITE President Bruce Belmore, ITE Executive Director and CEO Jeff Paniati, and ITE Chief Technical Officer Jeff Lindley recently completed a very successful trip to Australia and New Zealand. The trip was borne out of a desire to foster a stronger connection between ITE and its global membership in the two nations, and find ways to better engage and support members in Australia and New Zealand. This trip also provided the opportunity to strengthen a growing ITE/IEEE collaboration through participation in a joint symposium at the IEEE Intelligent Transportation Society meeting in Auckland, New Zealand. The following are a few highlights from their trip, as told by Bruce, Jeff, and Jeff. Throughout 2020, ITE will focus on efforts to increase the connection of the ITE Australia-New Zealand Section (ITE-ANZ) at the International level—you can find a summary of initial steps at the end of the article.
