The installation Blow Up is composed of two devices. The first is a rectangular array of twelve small impellers, which stands on a table on one side of the gallery. This small input device is electronically linked to a large wall of twelve electric fans. When one blows on the tabletop impellers, the breath pattern is mimicked and magnified in the larger wall of fans. The pattern continues until someone introduces a new breath pattern.
