A Low-Cost Compact Filtering Power Divider with Wide Upper Stopband

The present work deals with a filtering power divider (FPD) of high selectivity and wide attenuation band. It is designed by using BPF and LPF. The conventional quarter-wavelength transmission line is replaced by a LPF, which offers a wide upper stopband. The BPF offers lower stopband of the FPD. The proposed FPD operates at 900MHz with a fractional bandwidth of 22% and harmonic suppression greater than -20dB till 13.5GHz (15f(0)). It occupies a size of 0.22x0.14g2. The proposed FPD is fabricated and verified. There is a good agreement between the simulated and measured responses.
