A Study on the Organized Process of Communities and the Usage of Communication Media in the Three Dimensional Cyber Society 'InterSpace'

We have developed a three-dimensional cyberspace system called "InterSpace" and have conducted a public trial of the system on the Internet. Through analysis of the log data obtained in the public trial, this paper describes the process of forming a community within the system's virtual space and how users use communication media with the space. The analysis results make it clear that it is difficult for new users to join a mature community.
