There is a high risk that Islamist terrorists may gain access to Pakistan's nuclear weapons or nuclear material which could be used to make a dirty bomb, a British security expert has warned. Writing in the US Combating Terrorism Center's magazine Sentinel, Dr Shaun Gregory, director of the Pakistan Security Unit at the University of Bradford, stated there is a "real and present danger" that groups such as the Pakistani Taliban or al Qaeda will fulfill their threats to seize control of nuclear weapons or materials.
