Architecting RFID Middleware

In 2005, the University of Arkansas's Computer Science and Computer Engineering Department started developing open-source RFID middleware to address the problem of determining which hardware and software companies should invest in. The authors describe that software's development and the challenges and benefits of large-scale software development at universities.
