Randy Jones, manager of paving and transportation for Tilcon Connecticut, says the state of Connecticut, US, has made a firm commitment to good roads and the public won't tolerate anything less. Each year the state's roads maintenance programme consumes 544,200 to 634,9001 of HMA per year: with private and public projects combined, paving in Connecticut requires some 2,267,500t of HMA, and paving maintenance standards (particularly smoothness standards) get tighter every year.
