The purpose of this edited book is to provide practitioners and researchers with a collection of international contributions that aim to forward the advancement of supply chain research through a shared innovation-oriented approach. The book is comprised of four main themes under which the 25 contributions are grouped, each of which sheds light on how industry and academia deal with complex contemporary and future business structures. Part I deals with approaches to risk management innovations; Part II encompasses co-operation and collaboration between organisations in the supply chain; Part III focuses on design of the innovative supply chain; and Part IV looks at the optimisation of logistic networks.
