Intensity-Based Image Matching for Regular Firearms

摘要

This paper reports the digitized image matching of intensity-based signals generated by the POLIVIEW imaging system for regular firearms. The POLIVIEW imaging system transforms nonlin-earized models into linearized models by applying a differential matching method. This paper also discusses the performance of the computer program for determining the peaks of the histograms generated and their threshold segmentation for matching. This method can be used to generate corroborative evidence in solving crimes.
