Unit 1 commissioned at Upper Kotmale, Sri Lanka

Unit 1 of the two 75 MW units at the Upper Kotmale hydro project was commissioned in April this year, following the successful com- pletion of operational tests. Unit 2 is now under test running and is expected to begin generating this month, after completing the testing period. The Upper Kotmale plant will be officially inaugurated in the coming months.
