摘要

A mathematical model governing free convection boundary-layer flow over an isothermal inclined plate embedded in a thermally stratified porous medium in the presence of a non-uniform transverse magnetic field is developed. The resulting equations account for non-Darcian boundary and inertial effects of the porous medium and allow for variable ambient temperature. In this study, the ambient temperature is assumed to be an increasing function with the distance along the plate and the applied magnetic field is assumed to be a power-law function of the axial or vertical distance. The governing equations are solved subject to appropriate boundary conditions using an implicit finite- difference method.
