Fruit-and-veg giant dole food could be going public for a third time, though its IPO prospects may be constrained by the testy relationship 94-year-old owner David Murdock has with investors. The nonagenarian took Dole private in 2003, floated it again in 2009 and then took it private yet again four years later, in what became an especially contentious buyout.
