MUFG hires pair for capital markets build-up

MITSUBISHI UFJ FINANCIAL GROUP has launched a capital markets strategy group in the US to be led by Tomjoyce, who has joined the Japanese bank from Deutsche Bank. MUFG said it had also hired Rajesh "Raj" Kapadia as international head of capital markets. The capital markets strategy team will be integrated across its capital markets and corporate and investment banking businesses. Joyce will be based in New York and report to Brian Cogliandro, co-head of capital markets, and Mark Thumser, head of strategy and business operations in CIB.
