For years, the dyeing and finishingsector has turned its attentionto digitalisation and automation,much like the wider textile andgarment industries.Examples of the technology are mostprevalent in production workflow,where modern dyehouses utilisesemi or fully automated machineryincluding dispensing and dosingsystems or dye kitchens to enablehigh reproducibility rates andtransparent cost management. Thelatter is achieved through big data:these machineries can be connectedto MES (manufacturing executionsystems) and ERP (enterprise resourceplanning) systems to collect, collateand deliver important data. This canthen be wielded to help customersidentify anomalies and improve theperformance of their workflow.
