Cyberwellness Values and the Internet in Singapore

Singapore was one of the very first nations in Asia to join the world of international computer networking and the Internet. In 1987, the National University of Singapore became the first permanently connected BITNET node in Asia outside Japan. As BITNET provided a gateway to the Internet, it can be said that Singapore then truly joined the international networking community.
