As a historian, I have always been just as interested in the future as in the past. I even have an extensive science fiction library!rnEven so, I am a bit past the predictive stage. I have lived far longer than I ever expected, but as a result I have become interested in the relationship between longevity and considering the future.rnThere are a number of global trends we see operating, but I don't entirely believe in the rhetoric of globalism and I think there are gaps in the way telecommunications and broadcasting operate in different parts of the world.
