We've come a long way, but the Internet Revolution is continuing-it's less than 20 percent complete. Today, fewer than two billion people have been online. In a few years, hundreds of billions of devices will be connected-each of us will own at least 50 things that connect to the Net-appliances, cars, light bulbs, sensors, cameras, etc. And we'll be using the Internetfor computing, not just communications and content.rnAlready, hundreds of millions of people rely on Web-based e-mail, social media such as Facebook, and Flickr (to store their photos). And start-ups are relying on Cloud computing to run their e-commerce Web sites. Why buy servers and hire an IT staff, when Amazon, Google, or another Cloud service company and do it for you-more quickly and more cheaply.
