Teh years of the 'Television without Frontiers' Directive

The 'television without frontiers' directive has been haunted by questions of definition. Some of the original difficulties were resolved when the measure was revised in 1997, but new problems were created. The Directive is due for a further review and although most members states seem happy with it there is a possibility that it could soon form only a small part of a broader policy agenda-the Information society.
