The BALIS interlibrary loan system:a new network in Beijing

摘要

Purpose - The purpose of this paper is to describe a new local interlibrary loan (ILL) system between universities in Beijing, China. Design/methodology/approach - The paper provides a descriptive analysis of the BALIS ILL system. Findings - The paper finds that BALIS ILL has developed rapidly in the past two years but there are still some problems to solve. Originality/value - This paper will be relevant to librarians interested in resource sharing in China.
