Designing Experience is the core practice of Interior Design - and has been my fundamental pursuit in constructing a rigorous study of the discipline. An interior produces an intimate experience for people who occupy that space. What we, as human beings, perceive is directly related to the environments in which we dwell. As designers, we choreograph the activity of people's lives. As creators of environments and objects, we set the stage for others to perceive realities.1 How do we perceive? How do we as designers and as interiorists, better understand perception?
