Performing Matter: Interior Surface and Feminist Actions

摘要

The interior is no longer a passive character when viewed through the works of Julieanna Preston in her book, Performing Matter, Interior Surface and Feminist Action. Through a complimentary relationship of writing and making, Preston carefully articulates traditional practices inherent to the interior in order to reveal complex issues that lie dormant. This is most evident in the role of interior surfaces that are put under investigation and re-worked through the lens of action as Preston simultaneously seeks to define the discourse of feminism in this context.
