Innovative finishes for walls and other surfaces together with products from the most inventive British furniture, accessory and lighting makers have been gathered together by a pair of resourceful architects to simplify decision making for stylists, designers and retailers as well as contract and residential clients. SCIN - surfaces covering interiors - a new resource to showcase the latest surface finishes and ideas for interiors opens this autumn at the studio of design partnership Annabelle Filer and Graham Cox in Bermondsey, London. The open-plan ground floor arranged into sitting, dining and kitchen areas shows examples of innovative surface finishes for walls, floors and ceilings as well as new ideas from the most creative British furniture manufacturers, accessory designers and lighting specialists. The first floor houses a comprehensive interiors library, including individual samples catalogued according to surface, suggested use, composition and colour. Interior designers, architects, retail visual merchandisers and stylists are invited to bring their clients to the studio for inspiration and discussion. A series of materials seminars for professionals is planned for next spring.
