Based on market research and the needs of the ferrite industry, Wistra GmbH Thermoprozesstechnik (Duesseldorf, Germany) decided in 1995 to develop a ferrite sintering machine, which would accommodate the need for high flexibility in sintering units (Fig. 1). In close cooperation with one of the leading German ferrite manufacturers, an all-round concept for a sintering machine was developed, that can deal with the constantly growing quality requirements, especially from ferrite manufacturers, well beyond the year 2000.
