Monolithic Refractories Based on Chinese Raw Materials and Their Application

摘要

China is well known for its rich resources in natural refractory raw materials. In order to improve the quality of the product, some beneficiated and synthetic materials are also used. Their properties and uses in making monolithic refractories are reviewed. Applications of clay-bonded castable, low-cement castable and ultralow-cement castable prepared from the above materials are discussed with the emphasis on applications in reheating furnaces.
