Late last month, Hewlett-Packard and South Korea-based Hynix announced that they would work together to produce memristor-based next generation Flash memory products. This will be the first commercial use of memristor-based circuits since they were first theoretically proposed, by Leon Chua, at UCA/ Berkeley, in 1971. Memristors were first reduced to practice by a group led by Stan Williams at H-P Labs, the company's central research arm, in 2006.
